The new Kaiser 3 in 1 rubber lens hoods convert from a wide angle to a normal to a telephoto hood so now one hood can be equally effective for different focal length lenses.
Standard lens hoods are designed to work effectively with a fixed focal length lens. If a hood works properly and effectively with a short focal length lens it does not work properly with a longer lens. Conversely, if a hood is designed for a longer lens it will create vignetting on a short focal length lens.
The new Kaiser 3 in 1 hoods are adjustable in length to work properly with 28 to 200 mm focal length (35 mm equivalent) lenses.
Made from matte black rubber, they are foldable for length and have internal light baffles to prevent reflections. They have metal screw-in rings and the front of the ring is threaded for a lens cap.
